THe garden at grace

"Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy." -Psalm 96

The Garden at Grace Church is an outdoor oasis for worship, reflection, and peace. In the warm weather we celebrate Mass outside in the garden, worshipping alongside the birds in the trees, the sunshine, and the flowing waters of the fountain. We believe that being outside with God's creation is a joyful way to grow in faith. Additionally, many Grace Church celebrations take place in the beautiful garden, with lights in the trees, music, and the company of our wonderful community.

“I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live." -John 11:25

For those in Christ, our journey in this life will culminate on the day of our passing, when we believe we shall be resurrected into everlasting life in the kingdom of God as he promised. For centuries, churches have provided a final resting place for its members where they can be honored and remembered. So it is fitting that the Garden at Grace Church provide such a resting place.

Contained within the garden wall are niches which are designed to house urns containing the cremated remains of the deceased. Called a columbarium, meaning "dwelling place of the dove", these niches symbolize the presence of the Holy Spirit, by whose power we are raised on the last day. The columbarium provides a permanent place of remembrance for those in the community.

The Garden at Grace will be perpetually maintained to give glory to God and respect to those who lie in rest.

Please contact the Pastor Peter DiSanto (pastorppd@gmail.com) for more information, or if you would like to purchase a niche for yourself or a loved one.
